Bukidnon 2014: Dahilayan Adventure Park

Last year (2013), when our Singles for Christ (SFC) 20th International Conference (ICON) announced the place where our 21st ICON will be held (which in CDO), I was so excited! :)

I've been in Misamis Oriental 2 years ago, here's my CDO-Camiguin-Bukidnon blog :) That year also, Lumbia Airport serves as the main airport in the province and almost 30 minutes before you reach the CDO town proper. And last June 2013, Laguindingan International Airport opens and serves the direct flight from Misamis Oriental to some international airport in the world. Travel time from the new airport to CDO town proper is 1.5 hours.

Don't worry, there's a lot of shuttle vans and taxis within airport premises. If you choose to ride a taxi, expect that they refuse to use meter so you will have to negotiate the rates. This is practical if you are in group. You can just divide the cost  into your number. However, there's a shuttle van operator that you can hire going to CDO and neighboring towns.

MAGNUM EXPRESS
Terminal:
Shuttle Van parked outside the arrival area.

Rate:
Their regular Rate is P 200 ($4.5).

Contact Number:
You may call their telephone number (88) 852-1999.
LAX SHUTTLE
Terminal:
Their pick-up and drop-off point is located outside SEDA Hotel, Corrales Avenue near the entrance of Centrio Mall. For CDO bound passengers, they have a booth outside Laguindingan Airport arrival area.

Rate:
Their regular Rate is P 249 ($5.6). Right now, they are offering a promo rate of P 199 ($4.5).

Contact Number:
You may call their mobile number 09177000925/09177943131/09228732639.

The gang :)
When we got our bag, we asked a guy in the information at the arrival area where we can find shuttle van lead us to our conference venue. The guy told us, "someone who carries the banner Welcome Singles for Christ". :) And here we go :)

Our conference scheduled was February 14-16 2014. Beforehand, I contacted a SFC sister based on CDO to serve as our tour coordinator in our Bukidnon Tour and White Water Rafting. They charged us P 350 ($ 7.9) each for roundtrip van to Dahilayan Adventure park and P 700 ($ 16) each for White Water Activity c/o Kagay . If you are planning to avail their package tour, you may contact Mary Knoll Kaagad at 0916-9811377 and thru email : maryknollmaagad@yahoo.com.
On February 16 at 12:00noon, when our conference ended, we just did a quick lunch at the venue and wait for 12:30pm schedule going to Bukidnon. It takes 1.5 hours travel time going to Dahilayan.

We passed by at Del Monte Pineapple Plantation and took some pictures. :)
We just arrived at Dahilayan Adventure Park at 3:00pm. As expected, there's a lot of people (among fellow SFC's) in the area to try the zipline. Since I tried it already last 2012, I decided not to avail the zipline (P600, three zipline). So, I just watched over their things and stuffs while they're in activity area, and some rain showers poured down. But it doesn't stop them to do the activity! Yey!

The foggy, bow :)

Faith with Arny Ross, GMA Talent Artist and proud SFC :)

We left the Dahilayan Adventure Park at 5:00pm and head back to CDO. And we took our yummy dinner courtesy of our very generous and loving CFC Couple Coordinator, Tito Eric and Tita Agnes in Shakeys Limketkai :)

Thanks po :)

How to get there:

In private van/car:

It's 1.5 hours from CDO. Take the Iligan- CDO-Butuan Road. Take the 2nd right onto Sayre hi-way. Slight right onto Alae-Camp Philips- Mampayag Road. Just continue until you reach Dahilayan Forest Park. You will see several directional signs along the way to guide you.

By Commute:

Head to Agora Market.Ask for a van going to Camp Philips. It takes also 1.5 hrs. Get off to Camp Philips and rent a Habal-habal (motorcycle). Passed by the long stretch of Del Monte Pineapple plantation. Road could be rough, dusty and muddy (depends on the weather).

  1. oo nga, when you've tried their ziplines once parang that's enough na. been there early 2012 and it's really not something that you would want to revisit again. although in your case it's fine 'cause you got to bond with your fellow singles for christ peeps. looks fun! ang dami nyo! :)

  2. I hope you get the chance to try Dropzone whenever you can visit Dahilayan Adventure park again. You can really get some adrenaline rush riding it. I advice you visit there during weekdays since there are less people.
