Sorsogon 2016: Matnog (Juag Marine Sanctuary, Subic Beach and Calintaan Cave)

I miss blogging! haha. It's been a while :)

This is my Sorsogon-Catanduanes 2016 trip series :) (39th and 40th province)

We went to Sorsogon last May 2016. We rode a bus from Alabang Thursday everning (May 26) to Bulan, Sorsogon. We booked a ticket 5 days before our trip.

It was a night trip and we arrived in Bicol next day morning. We dropped off at the intersection of Bulan and Matnog.

The majestic Mayon Volcano

Mt. Bulusan in Sorsogon

Intersection of Bulan and Matnog
We rode a tricycle from intersection to Matnog Port. It took 25 minutes from intersection to port. Yeah, It's quite far.

At Matnog port, it's also a doorway going to Northern Samar via RoRo :) We took our lunch nearby carinderia and wait for our contact person who booked a motor boat for our island hopping. We changed our clothes and ready for island hopping! :)

It was sunny day when we went island hopping!

Jump off point :)

Our first stop, Juag Marine Sanctuary :) We bought the fish feeds and proceed to the ponds :)

You can see different kinds of fish!

Posing with Kuyas hahaha
Guest are allowed to swim and snorkel around the sanctuary, of course with the presence of the sanctuary's personnel :)

We hopped in the boat and proceed to our next destination, Subic Beach :)

Subic beach also known for it's pinkish sand because of crashed red shell mixed with the sand :)

There were few guests in the beach even on weekdays :) We just hang out and beach bum around :)

see the contains of the sand?

We just stayed a while in Subic beach and went to Calintaan Cave. We didn't go inside because of my phobia (claustrophobia). We just stayed in the boat and I jumped into the water and swim around hahaha!

We went back to Matnog port to catch up the last trip of jeepney going to Sorsogon City. Since it was full load inside the jeep and we have no choice but rode on the top load! It was fun! hahaha! It was a joyride! hahaha!

You can feel the wind when you're in top load! hahaha

We rode a van in Sorsogon City going to Legazpi City Terminal (2 hours). Then we rode again a van going to Tabaco City (1 hour). We stayed one night in Tabaco City to catch up early schedule of RoRo going to Catanduanes on the following day :)

I can't believe we summed up our Sorsogon trip in just one day. hahaha! It was a tiring/marathon trip but I enjoyed :)
